The anterior and posterior surfaces of each rococo inspired, King's shape handle are embellished with scrolling leaf ornamentation. The decoration to the anterior of each handle terminal incorporates a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting out of a mural crown a spear in pale and two palm branches in saltire**. This vintage gleaming midcentury sterling silver flatware service is by the Mexican designer Celsa. The pattern, Avanti, has an impressive ultra-modern look that became very popular in New York after its production, circa 1955.
