In 1989, Baker introduced a sixty piece collection by Charles Pfister. It was his first, and only, residential furniture group.
Pfister's untimely death, nearly one year later, resulted in very limited production of these designs. This table, acquired from a former Baker employee in Grand Rapids, is quite rare.
It is constructed of honey colored primavera wood, with the top in a starburst pattern, radiating from a burled center. The single pedestal base alternates radiused wood with vertical slots. Primavera is a costly and uncommon tropical hardwood, sometimes referred to as "white mahogany."
