We are very proud to be able to offer you a unique opportunity to acquire this super rare and important 'California' seating ensemble of impressive proportions by Parisian High Society designer Jacques Charpentier. This model was retailed in 1970 through the exclusive Galerie Flat in Paris and Brussels and is published in several important French design journals of the period.
This wonderful lounge suite has been completely restored including new foam and support webbing and is newly upholstered in beautiful buttoned, taupe color suede with an integral anti stain layer for practicality. Each base is finished in stainless steel. This lounge set is signed , please see Image 6, and we have photos of the restoration process which will be provided to the buyer for future provenance.
This set comprises a pair of lounge chairs plus a super rare, special commission order , four seat sofa, whose base can be unbolted and separated, so if preferred,with the use of the super rare 90 degree corner element, also included, it can be arranged as a perpendicular corner sofa , please see image 3. The single 90 degree corner element also has the special custom order, pre drilled, bolt together base so it can bolt to both two seat elements to form a single, sturdy, integral corner sofa ensemble...
