Engineer Chris Turner and designer Clare Turner established the company in 1998. Chris is the CEO of the company, bringing years of technical experience to the working specifications for its creations. Clare serves as CTO Lighting’s creative director. She previously worked in fashion and brings a unique perspective, extensive design experience and commercial expertise. Together, they built the company on the principle of creating the finest lighting with uncompromising quality.
CTO Lighting produces top-tier fixtures for homes and businesses, applying meticulous care to the designs and material selection. Its luxury lighting fixtures involve alabaster, blown glass and artisan-crafted stone, with these details giving each item its own individuality.
Since its founding, the British company has enjoyed collaboration with many leading contemporary designers and studios, including Spanish designer Federico Peri, Turkish design company Autoban and Belgian industrial designer Michaël Verheyden. Through these collaborations and extensive commercial networking, CTO Lighting has fostered a client base around the world.
