A fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver galleried tea tray; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection. This fine antique George V sterling silver tea tray has a rounded navette shaped form. The surface of the tray is plain and unembellished. The flared galleried border is embellished with pierced arch and vertical pale decoration accented with circular motifs to the elevating ends. The upper rim of the hallmarked galleried border is ornamented with a band of applied reed decoration. This impressive sterling silver tea tray incorporates a plain oval inset handle to either end, accented with a portion of pierced angular decoration to the nadir. An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver potato dish rings; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection. These exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver dish rings have a circular waisted form. The sterling silver body of each dish is embellished with impressive embossed and pierced scrolling foliate and floral decoration. The posterior surface of each piece is ornamented with an embossed scene depicting a man in period attire holding a staff; it can be determined this figure is a shepherd. The body of each piece features a shaped vacant cartouche, flanked with a resting sheep and structure design, all amidst the aforementioned foliate decoration. This magnificent antique George V sterling silver trophy cup and cover has a bell shaped form to a domed spreading pedestal foot. The plain body of this impressive presentation cup is encircled with a plain applied moulded girdle in addition to a band of applied leaf ornamentation to the lower portion. The underside of the vessel is embellished with large single leaf designs accented with a matte design, all conjoined with rounded arches with a stylised stemmed leaf design. The flared upper rim is encompassed with a plain applied moulded border. The cup retains the original hallmarked push fit domed cover encircled with an applied gadroon decoration to the rim. This domed portion of the impressive cover is embellished with further arched leaf ornamentation encompassing a magnificent cast and finely chased pineapple style finial. The interior of the cover and body retain the original gilding. This imposing George V silver cup is fitted with two impressive tied branch shaped handles, each with a birfurcating upper terminal displaying the cross section of a branch grain, and the trifurcating lower terminals incorporating tiered leaf designs, all in junction with the body. This magnificent example of antique silverware is supported by a pedestal foot encompassed with further applied gadroon decoration; this ornamentation is identical to that of the cover.
