Daniel Casique Art

Venezuelan, b. 1984
Daniel Casique's paintings reflect a point-of-view that possesses a unique voice that speaks an independent message to every viewer. In almost all of his paintings, nature occupies a key place in work. He uses nature to show deep and dramatic the emotional state that most people go through in their life. More so, the intention behind many of the artist's artworks is to express emotional states subject to experiences that helped to steer the course of how to hatch this fragment of history in life through a figurative composition. Knowing that product of the observation is measured, but in a sensitive context, the artist organizes each concept and represents them in a round space that serves, in this case, as an immediate visual bridge with the viewer. In addition to the central human figures, it is worth mentioning that nature occupies a key place in his artwork. His works depict emotional states and are intimately linked to human expression. His artwork involves a corporeal vegetable form that manages to transform itself physically and symbolically in favor of a reaction of the protagonist in work. All this, touching a surreal visual environment, forms, and movements that inspire beauty, where the viewer can feel connected to the artwork. Most of the artwork makes viewers think that the outcome has not yet been generated, and thus provokes a reading beyond the pictorial plane. Most importantly, his artworks are a reflection of life that is dynamic and sometimes not as rational of ourselves as beings. It is from this point that the artists concentrate on these psychosocial elements so strongly human, and he continues to develop works with unique stories while focusing on oil paintings.

Located in PÉRIGUEUX, FR

Avant le Déjeuner (Before Lunch) Acrylic on canvas board 16 × 24 cm (without frame) 35.5 x 43.5 x 4 cm (with frame) Signature: Lower left; also inscribed on verso Condition: Excellent, presented in a gilded frame In Avant le déjeuner (“Before Lunch”), Grégoire Mathias creates a playful and vibrant still life where bottles of wine, a glass, and a red-checkered cloth are arranged against the backdrop of the sea. The bold shapes and saturated colors lend the work a festive, almost theatrical quality, echoing the traditions of Synthetic Cubism while infusing it with Mathias’s characteristic rhythm and modern eye. Painted in acrylic on canvas board, the piece is framed in a substantial gilded frame that enhances its presence. Despite its intimate size, the composition radiates with energy, suggesting both the convivial anticipation of a shared meal and the joy of Mediterranean light. Signed lower left, this work reflects Mathias’s ability to turn everyday objects into striking compositions of color, balance, and narrative. Perfect For Collectors of Cubist-inspired still lifes Interior designers looking for colorful, conversation-piece artworks for kitchens, dining rooms, or entertaining spaces Buyers seeking affordable yet highly collectible paintings by Mathias Collector's Insights Small-format oils such as this offer an ideal entry point into Mathias’s oeuvre. They combine the immediacy of his vision with accessibility, while holding strong potential for appreciation as his international recognition and market continue to grow.
