A beautiful artistic cocktail ring, designed in New York city by the famous Austrian-American surrealist artist Eric de Kolb. This original wearable sculpture is a one-of-a-kind piece crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats, with high textured finish.
Ruby: Mount on top in a bezel setting, with one oval faceted cut (20 x 15 x 6 mm) of a natural red ruby of 14.45 carats.
Weight: 25.4 grams, (16.28 Dwt).
Size: 7.25 Sizeable.
Measurements: 24 mm by 22 mm (0.85 x 0.87 Inches) and raise 12 mm over the finger.
Hallmarks: Stamped with his maker's mark, EK, the gold assay mark and signed in full, "ERIK DE KOLB EK 18 KT".
Eric De Kolb, Baron Eric De Kolb-Wartenberg, born in Vienna, Austria in the 1916. Was a surrealist artist; painter, sculptor, jeweler and fashion designer. His artistic skills were very diverse, his surrealist paintings were created in a vast array of styles, and his mini sculptures were created in many different styles and materials. His jewelry pieces, was always created as unique pieces, using the old millennial method of "Cie Perdue" lost wax in which a tiny was sculpture is converted to a clay form mold. then the mold is heated until the wax flows out and then is filled with gold. the mold is broken to release the piece, with the result that each cast piece is one-of-a-kind.
