A charming, brightly glazed biscuit barrel with a rattan handle, made in Czechoslovakia for Erphila importers, circa 1918-1920.
The barrel and lid are hand painted in an incredible spring green and dotted with flowers and leaves glazed in pink, blue and yellow. The upper rim is glazed in a bold contrasting lavender. The lid has a top knob also formed as a yellow petaled flower. Knobbed side handles hold the removable, swing handle, woven in a tan rattan with a darker brown stripe.
