Italian, b. 1901
Ezelino Briante (Naples, 1901 - Rome, 1971) was an Italian painter. He was born in Naples in 1901 Son of musical artists, after some irregular studies, he enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Naples, but after a few exams, he abandoned it. He traveled in Italy and abroad (France, Switzerland, Sweden, Brazil and the United States of America) to be in contact with nature, which he loved since his childhood. He stayed in Capri for a long time. He died in Rome in 1971.

The Artist
Ezelino Briante was born and trained in Naples and he traveled around Italy and abroad (France, Switzerland, Sweden, Brazil, United States of America) looking for naturalistic subjects that he preferred. This celebrated painter studied at the Accademia di Bella Arti di Napoli and his scenes of Italy won him great support and fame in Italy and internationally.
