A patinated bronze sculpture reproduction of the Laocoon group by the Napolitan world famous Fonderia Chiurazzi, Italy 1880-1900. Rediscovered in 1506 in Rome The Laocoon Group is believed to be created sometime between 42-20 BCE by three sculptors from Rhodos – Hagesander, Athenodoros and Polydorus, after the work of more ancien Hellenistic sculptors. Recreated and issued (with several sizes and creative variations) by Fonderia Chiurrazzi, this piece is more than just an incredibly precise and expressive reproduction of the iconic antic sculpture...
