Set of Three Contemporary Brass Mosaic Side Tables, Flow Collection
By Jonathan Amar
Located in Paris, FR
Set of three contemporary handcrafted guéridon side or end nesting tables composed of a solid brass structure and designed with two intricate mosaic tile tabletop zellige designs handmade with expert workmanship by Moroccan artisans. This set of three different heights allows for different layout possibilities. Flow collection 21st century Base type 1 Solid French polished brass Moroccan Zellige, patterns 1 and 2 Choice of blue, red, black Various brass finishes and heights are available upon request The tables here measure: 2x 36 cm in diameter 1 x 40 cm in diameter The Flow collection is an ode to movement designed by Jonathan Amar composed of artisanal articulating lamps and side tables following three years of research and development between his office in Paris and his atelier in Rabat. It represents 35 years of passion and know-how in the fields of decorative arts and interior design. Practicality Built with sophisticated joints, extendable arms, and lampshades with adjustable stems. Equipped with the latest LED sensory dimming or wireless technologies. Available in a variety of sizes to cover all types of living areas. Craftsmanship Handcrafted in France and Morocco with French and Italian materials, Flow honors the relationship between meticulous workmanship and quality materials through the thickness, finishes and fixtures of each creation. Due to the handmade nature each piece is unique and might vary slightly in finish. Materials Brass, the central element of each creation, is available in an array of finishes: nickel-plated, polished, varnished or aged. The finish you select and the way you care for your Flow throughout the years results in one of a kind pieces. Since brass is a metal which works well with a multitude of materials, Jonathan Amar associates it with a unique palette of colors and textures. Fabric and wicker are used to design lampshades; Zellige and marbles form table tops and bases; lamp stems are sheathed in hand pleated leather by artisan saddlers. Hand-engravings, the iconic know-how of our atelier, are available on a selected number of models as an additional request. About Jonathan Amar Born in Rabat in 1955 and raised in France from an early age, Jonathan Amar is one of the first designers to export artisanal Moroccan know-how abroad. His eclectic bringing up, from both shores of the Mediterranean, the teaching he acquired during his travels around the world, make him without a doubt one of the most unusual designers-creators of his generation. He is behind the New Age and Ethno-Chic Baroque movements or the art of blending the world's cultures, creating places where exceptional decoration is an essential element. Indeed, he has the talent of merging various elements - even disparate - and integrating them into a new aesthetic set. His style will give birth to a number of movements which will inspire many artists and decorators. This ability allows him to undertake all types of projects, appropriate various volumes and he quickly develops a flair for lighting arrangements, giving each of his projects a strong identity. In 1985, at the age of 30, Hubert Boukobza entrusts him with the artistic direction of ”Les Bains Douches". It is a true institution of Parisian...

Questions About G-Plan Furniture Side Tables
  • 1stDibs ExpertApril 5, 2022
G Plan furniture was produced by Donald Gomme, lead designer at E Gomme and was designed to be purchased piece-by-piece to accommodate smaller budgets. The name G Plan was created by Doris Gundry at an advertising agency and the name stuck. It’s assumed that the G references Gomme. On 1stDibs, find a collection of authentic G Plan pieces from some of the world’s top sellers.
  • 1stDibs ExpertApril 5, 2022
The term G Plan furniture refers to a British furniture brand. The British manufacturer E Gomme Ltd of High Wycombe introduced it in 1953. Designer Donald Gomme intended for the line to allow people to fill their entire home with matching furniture by buying pieces one at a time. On 1stDibs, shop a selection of G Plan furniture.
  • 1stDibs ExpertNovember 4, 2024
To identify a G Plan sideboard, look for the maker's mark. Nearly all pieces produced by the British maker are marked, but G Plan utilized different markings over the years. For example, pieces from the 1950s and ’60s often display a gold foil oval label emblazoned with the words "E Gomme, High Wycombe." You can find images of all G Plan labels and marks on trusted online resources. You can also ask a certified appraiser or experienced antique dealer to help you with the identification process. Explore a wide range of G Plan sideboards on 1stDibs.
  • 1stDibs ExpertOctober 15, 2024
To tell genuine G Plan, start by locating the maker's marking, which you'll usually find in an inconspicuous area on a piece of furniture. G Plan markings have evolved over the years, but you can find images of them on the pages of trusted online resources. If you know the approximate age of your piece, check to see if its mark matches the ones used on authentic G Plan furniture from that period. You can also compare the wording, font and other details of the mark to recognize any inconsistencies that may indicate your piece is a reproduction. If you need help authenticating your furniture, a certified appraiser or knowledgeable antique dealer can provide an expert opinion. On 1stDibs, find a diverse assortment of G Plan furniture.
  • 1stDibs ExpertApril 5, 2022
G Plan furniture is made in the United Kingdom. Skilled artisans craft each piece entirely by hand using many of the same techniques used to manufacture the brand's first pieces in the 1950s. On 1stDibs, find a variety of G Plan furniture.
  • 1stDibs ExpertOctober 24, 2024
To tell if furniture is a G-Plan, look on its back, base, drawer interiors and other inconspicuous areas for a maker's marking. Nearly all G-Plan furniture is marked. However, the British manufacturer has used many different marks over the years. Some pieces say “E. Gomme,” while others display “EG” or “G-Plan” markings. You can find images of G-Plan's many hallmarks and catalogues of its pieces on trusted online resources. If you need additional assistance with identifying your furniture, use the services of a certified appraiser or knowledgeable antique dealer. Find a wide range of G-Plan furniture on 1stDibs.
  • 1stDibs ExpertMay 5, 2023
Although pieces vary, most designs in the G-Plan range are solid wood. Specifically, the casegoods and tables produced during the mid-20th century were mostly solid teak with rosewood or leather used for handles. Find a range of G-Plan furniture on 1stDibs.
  • 1stDibs ExpertApril 5, 2022
G Plan furniture is mostly made from teak, which is praised for its durability and elegance. G Plan also uses rosewood, oak and mahogany in its designs. Shop a collection of G Plan furniture from some of the world’s top sellers on 1stDibs.
