This exceptional antique Edwardian Scottish sterling silver egg cup set consists of four egg cups and four spoons.
Each of these impressive sterling silver egg cups have a bell-shaped form onto a circular spreading foot.
The hallmarked body of each of these silver egg cups has a planished finish.
The body of each piece is supported by three tyg* style handles in the Art Nouveau style.
Each antique egg cup retains the original gilt interior.
The original four hallmarked Scottish sterling silver spoons have a plain tapering form and a planished finish.
This exceptional antique Edwardian set of four Scottish sterling silver egg cups and spoons are fitted to the original presentation box with a satin and velvet lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.
The impressive velvet interior incorporates bespoke insets for each egg cup and spoon, in addition to two pivoting restraints to keep the spoons securely in situ.
The interior of the cover bears the retailer's mark 'By special royal warrants, to H.R.H the Prince of Wales, to the Admiralty, to his Majesty the King, Edward. Jewellers & Silversmiths. 92 Buchanan Street, Glasgow.', all amidst the Royal coat of arms of the United Kingdom, the Prince of Wales's feathers badge and the crest of the Office of the Admiralty and Marine Affairs.
