An important earrings designed by Giorgio Facchini (Fano, Pesaro 1947-).
Rare sculptural pieces from the Memphis period, created in the 1980's by the Italian master jeweler, artist and sculptor, Giorgio Facchini. These convertible long earrings, are made as an unique edition of one (1/1 ), with a modernist look. They was carefully crafted in solid yellow gold of 18 karats and suited with omega backs for fastening clips. The posts option for pierced ears can be easily added.
These gorgeous pieces were conceived as a convertible day and night pair, the baluster totem shaped drop elements are detachable.
Embellished, with carvings of natural gemstones, such; black jade, blue lapis lazuli and translucent white Agathe.
They have a combined weight of 55.4 grams, just the upper part pieces have 16.9 grams. The total drop measures is 108 mm (4.25 inches) and 17 mm (0.67 Inch) at the widest part.
Engraved, with the signature, "G. Facchini" and stamped with the Italian assay control hallmarks from the city of Pesaro, "G. Facchini .750 *28PS".
