This exceptional antique American sterling silver teapot has an oval shaped form. The surface of this large teapot is embellished with chased decorated floral motifs, segmented with strapwork style borders. The body is further ornamented with two bands of applied tied reed decoration. The lower portion of the body is embellished with the contemporary engraved monogram initials 'TBB' to one side; these initials have been created using a characteristic typeface style for the era of the piece.
