A fine and impressive vintage 0.30 carat (total) amethyst, garnet and peridot, 9 karat gold donkey and cart brooch; part of our diverse vintage jewelry and estate jewelry collections. This fine and impressive vintage brooch has been crafted in 9k yellow gold in the form of a donkey and cart. The donkey's body is decorated with a textured finish representing its coat and features. The cart being pulled by the donkey is also crafted in 9k yellow gold, and ornamented with a multi-gemstone design incorporating four amethysts, two garnets and a peridot. The brooch secures to the reverse with a hinged pin and safety clasp fastening. This impressive vintage brooch is accented with an articulated bucket in 9k white gold, suspended from the back of the cart. This 1960s brooch is clearly hallmarked to the underside of the cart with the gold fineness mark (9k) and the maker's mark for Alabaster and Wilson* (A&W), and supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. NOTE* Alabaster & Wilson was co-founded in 1887 by Arthur Alabaster and Thomas Watson in Birmingham. This producer of high quality gold and diamond jewelry remains as one of the longest running family businesses in the UK today. Large and Exquisite Etruscan Revival pale pink hand carved conch shell cameo of Medusa, American, 1875. Set in 14K yellow gold with an acid finish or "bloom" so that the gold color is a rich but soft finish (not highly polished) which appears to be a high, 20 or 22, karat gold. This brooch/pendant is a vertical oval (denoting the 2nd half of the 19th century) measures 3-1/16 inches tall, by 2-1/8th inches wide without the 5/8 inch long pendant bale. Beautiful French jewelry designer Henry Perichon (also known as Henry) extra long gilt bronze pin brooch. An elongated shape in a Renaissance design influences ornate with simulated pearls, colorful poured glass cabochons, and crystal stones. The pis is signed "Henry" on the back and has a security closing clasp. The piece is in good condition, with minor surface scratches on simulated pearls that do not significantly affect its global appearance. Measurements: 1.38 in wide (3.4 cm) x 4 in long (10.3 cm). Note: Henri Perichon (1910 - 1970), known as "Henry," was one of the most inventive jewelry designers of the period. His studio was in Lyon, where he worked on mediums such as bronze, silver, white metal, or resin (Talosel).
