Chairs feature David Rowland's patented "Soflex" seat and back in original school bus color vinyl plastisol on tubular chrome frame. - Soflex is a material invented by Rowland in 1973 in which sinuous metal springs are dipped in vinyl plastisol. When cured, the plastisol hardens and holds the springs together, forming a thin, open-mesh, resilient seating material.
