This one of a kind Rococo style sterling silver cuff bracelet features a very finely hand carved natural shell, nineteenth century period cameo depicting the Three Graces. As three of the many children of Zeus, whose mother varies depending on the teller of the tale, the Three Graces are seen as the embodiments of beauty, charm, grace, and enjoyment of a peaceful life. As such, they are generally depicted as part of the larger household of Venus - as the qualities who attend her, and, less commonly, they are attached to Juno. Jill Garber creates a limited number of bracelets in pairs and this is one of her most handsome sets. At the center of each of two cuffs is a hand carved antique cameo featuring an ethereal Goddess playing a flute. Each of the two Goddess' faces a different direction. Naturally shaped 12 - 13 mm oval cabochons of Morenci turquoise with beautiful matrix accompany each Goddess. Jill has framed the cameos with bold silver beading, and used a slightly smaller mm beading to frame the bezel mountings that hold the eight turquoise stones. This romantic sterling silver cuff bracelet by designer Jill Garber is exquisitely crafted to feature an ornate figural Art Nouveau cross. At its center is a 14 mm deep purple natural Amethyst. The four tips of the cross are hand set with 6 mm square, cushion cut natural Royston turquoise. The figural ornaments throughout the cross structure have deep engraved detailing. Four rows of half round banding form the wrist structure of this very comfortable bracelet and each outside band is meticulously hand stamped with Native American sunrise symbolism for consistency. Two beautiful blue 12 mm high dome natural Sleeping Beauty turquoise cabochons are mounted and framed on either side of the portrait with complimentary beaded details. Additional detail includes lovely hand stamped Native American elements resembling lace found on a seventeenth century gentleman's cuff. We believe this portrait is painted after the work of Elizabeth Louise Vigee Le Brun, Marie Antoinette's favorite artist. Le Brun was admitted to the Academie Royale in 1783.
