Johann Poppel Art
1807-1882
Johann Poppel was a German landscape painter and was a student at Nuremberg Art School studying under Friedrich Johann M. Geißler. He learned engraving from Carl Ludwig Frommel in Karlsruhe. He worked in London in 1832 with William Tombleson, in 1833 in Karlsruhe, from 1834 in Nuremberg and from 1838 in Munich.
