The Chamberstick has a circular base with raised rim decorated with a band of applied beading. The base has a slightly domed centre where it rises to the central stem which is also decorated with beading, as is the tulip shaped socket, pull off nozzle and conical extinguisher. The base is engraved with a contemporary Crest, above a garter, engraved with the Motto "Steady" and the initials WV, in script lettering.
