Baroque style sterling silver chocolate pot. The object was completely handmade in Italy by the silversmith Lorenzo Ferrari who had the laboratory in Milan in via XXV Aprile. The body, in the central and upper part, was worked with the technique of the embossing and the chisel in the front part, with typical baroque scrolls, leaving a smooth central coat of arms for any noble coats of arms or family initials. The cast and applied rim of shaped foliate and floral entwined decoration. The central bowl of the basket engraved with a rocaille cartouche containing an armorial. The top of the handle is decorated with a leaf form cartouche within which is the crest of a deer. The sides of the raised basket with hand cut pierced decoration. The whole standing on four cast and applied legs, decorated with a beautiful scrolling foliate design rising to high relief female faces, on leaf-form pad feet.
