Juan Carlos Macias

Juan Carlos Macias was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco - Mexico in 1961, studied Architecture and Plastic Arts at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico and Technical Graphic Arts and Painting at Los Angeles Valley College and presently resides in Chicago. His more recent gallery work has been figurative, but his roots are in abstract expressionism. His most recent work is also featured in Chicago's New Irving Park Station House. Macias' early work was designed as wallpaper for Maya Romanoff.
