Larry Scaturro Art

American, b. 1949
“My medium is wood. My focus is figurative and abstract forms. All pieces are hand carved and finished to accentuate the beauty of the wood grain. I feel that wood and stone carving are becoming ever rarer forms of artistic expression. It takes time and patience to complete a carving, and mistakes can be unforgiving. Being obsessed with shapes and forms and the love of my material is what keeps me excited about the sculptures I make. My hope is that I might inspire others to take up this meticulous art form that I love so much”
