A fabulous pair or quality wine or champagne coolers, Art Deco in era and dating to circa 1930. The pair are in the form of buckets or pails with cut-out handles. Each has simple linear decoration to the body with a raised border and foot with a series of small foliate motif. Both are marked on the underside for the silversmith Lee and Wigfull of Sheffield / made in England / EPNS for electro-plated nickel silver. Just back from our silversmith, they have been professionally cleaned and polished and are in excellent condition with inside usage wear commensurate with age. This impressive antique Victorian sterling silver sugar caster has a plain baluster shaped form onto a circular domed spreading foot. This fine sugar caster features a bright cut engraved crest depicting an oak tree out of a ducal coronet and penetrated transversely by a frame saw, all below a plain applied girdle. The silver sugar caster retains the hallmarked push fit cover, embellished with pierced decoration in a lozenge shaped array. The cover is surmounted by an urn style finial.
