Leila Sullivan studied with Claude Buck and Marshall Merritt for five years. She was a member of the Santa Cruz Woman's Club, where she regularly exhibited and a lifetime member and Vice president of the Santa Cruz Art League in 1965. Sullivan’s artwork was exhibited at the 39th Annual Statewide Art Show, Santa Cruz Art League, Los Angeles Madonna Festival in 1960 and Santa Cruz Woman's Club.
