Manuel Ventura Millán was a self-taught painter of realist style, known mainly for his still lifes, which usually have a marked influence of the Spanish Baroque school of the 17th century, with a clear preference for garlic, onions, jugs, etc. His work is preserved in numerous private collections, mainly Spanish and in institutions such as the Gómez-Pardo Foundation in Madrid.
