Intense acrylic on masonite painting Titled Bird Fury by Leonardo Nierman signed and dated in the lower right Nierman 66. According to Art Brokerage: Leonardo Nierman Mexican Artist: b. 1932. Leonardo Nierman's paintings vibrantly come to life as they capture the intensity and spontaneity of the dynamic forces that rule both nature and the cosmos. With swirling whirlpools of color, darting flame-like wisps, and brilliant hues as dazzling as a sun, they are dramatic in their representation of that which is unchallenged, though perhaps not quite understood. Leonardo Nierman's full career includes numerous distinctions, awards, and exhibitions. He has painted murals for the School of Commerce of the University City in Mexico, 1956; the "Golden West...

Painting (Seated Women with Nudes) Signed Bela Kadar, Hungary (1877-1955)
By Bela Kadar
Located in New York, NY
Painting. Gouache on board. Signed Bela Kadar (Hungary, 1877-1955) Bela Kadar was born in Hungary in 1877. Amongst his early interests was mural painting. Like many of the artists of his day he was drawn to Paris and Berlin, and by 1910 he had visited both cities twice. In 1923, Kadar showed his paintings in Berlin at the invitation of Herwath Walden. Walden was an important figure in the German avant-garde, being the publisher of the journal Der Sturm which featured the works of Franz Marc, Paul Klee, Wassily Kandinsky, Marc Chagall and Oskar Kokoschka. During the group exhibition at Walden's gallery with other artists of Der Sturm, Kadar met Katherine Dreier whose Societe Anonyme was instrumental in bringing the work of the European avant-garde to New York. With her help two major exhibitions of his work were planned for the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the second of whom in September, 1928 Kadar travelled from Europe to attend. Bela Kadar incorporated themes of Hungarian folklore...

"A Hazy Morning on the Welsh Hills" by Benjamin Williams Leader
By Benjamin Williams Leader
Located in Wiscasset, ME
Oil on artist panel, signed and dated lower left. It measures 19.75" x 22.75" including the frame, which is likely the original. Benjamin Williams Leader RA (12 March 1831 – 22 March 1923) was an English landscape painter. The inspiration for these early works was the countryside around Worcester itself, "the cottages, farmhouses, lanes, hedgerows and churches, so exceedingly picturesque and beautiful". However, Leader did not finish his course of studies at the R. A, nor did he need to – his paintings proved to be in great demand by wealthy buyers and he achieved an enviable degree of commercial success within only a few years of his first sale. In 1857 he changed his name to Benjamin Williams Leader to distinguish himself from the many other painters with the surname Williams. In autumn of that year he travelled to Scotland, and painted A Quiet pool in Glen Falloch...
