Designed by Ristomatti Ratia, son of Armi Ratia the founder of Marimekko. Ratia produced these storage cubes with plastic manufacturer Treston Oy of Finland in the early 1970's.
These palaset units, as they were called were produced to be a modular storage unit grouping for the home-- to be used in a number of ways, and however the end user could think up. Many people use these as modular storage units for the office, room dividers, LP and record storage and as platforms for their vintage turntables.
This mid century modern stackable set is in brown, white and green and feature moveable and removable polished stainless steel drawer pulls. They would look excellent in any mid century modern, modern or contemporary home. These stackable cubes are a much bolder statement than say an Umbo unit...
