Paul Albert Baudouin Wall Decorations
Paul Albert Baudouin was born in 1844 in Rouen, France. He was a pupil of Gleyre, Elie Delaunay in Puvis de Chavannes. Baudouin was a painter of genre, landscapes, decorative panels and loved painting outdoors. He was an artist of outstanding talent and achieved much recognition from 1868 when he worked within the Salon des Artistes Francais. He reached medal award status at a third-class level in 1882 for his portrait of an Honneur Legion Knight in 1891. Baudouin showed his passion for painting outdoor scenes of people and landscapes when he decorated the panels on his studio al fresco. He loved music and would often paint to the rhythm. Baudouin died on 23rd December 1931, but his work lives on and some of his paintings are displayed in the Museum de Petit-Palais, Paris.
