Popov Factory Furniture
Russian, 1811-1875
The G. Popov Porcelain Factory, founded by Alexander Popov, was one of Russia's leading porcelain manufacturers in the first half of the 19th century, alongside Gardner and Kornilov. Renowned for its superior quality, particularly between 1810 and 1830, its wares are distinguished by their bright, vibrant painting and lavish gilding. After passing through several owners following the Popov family, the factory ultimately closed in 1875. Its pieces remain highly sought-after examples of Russian Imperial porcelain.

These excellent gilt ground vases are high quality antique pieces, dating from the Empire period in France at the start of the 19th century. Each vase is set on a square base, is mounted with twin scrolling handles inset with neoclassical masks, and has a flared gilt ground neck.
