A rare and fine quality set of 5 French Art Deco wall sconces by Rene Drouet. These wall lights have a wonderful provenance, they originate from the legendary, elegant and renowned boutique Hotel Nord Pinus in Arles, France. These were discovered in the attic covered in dust yet were in perfect antique condition. Newly refinished and rewired.
The French Art Deco style is very sophisticated. This exquisite set of 5 hand forged iron sconces by Rene Drouet will enhance any setting whether Art Deco, Spanish Colonial or Hacienda style, Mid-20th Century, contemporary, traditional or another theme. They would work well in a formal living room, bedroom or wonderful flanking a doorway or entry. In very good refinished condition.

Provenance Hotel Nord Pinus in Arles, France and some its history:
Nord Pinus, is located across the Café de la Nuit, immortalised by Van Gogh and five minutes from the Van Gogh’s Foundation (started by the late father of Maja Hoffmann). “The Place du Forum was called “La Place des Hommes”, where independent workers would come to get hired for jobs in Camargue. Later in the 1950s, Nello a clown and Germaine a cabaret singer turned the historic building overseeing Arles’ central square into a hotel for artists. This drew important guests such as Eva Garner, Winston Churchill, Edith Piaf, Yves Montand, and Pablo Picasso among many others.”
