American, 1933-2006

Richard DeVore was one of the most important American ceramicists of the past century. He earned a BEd. degree with an art major from The University of Toledo in 1955 and received an MFA. from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1957. She spent 1977 in Aix-en-Provence where she carved the local stone of Rogne. Returning to Paris, the painter Lutka Pink introduced her to Otero, Frans Krajcberg and Hajdu from whom she received valuable lessons.
