Artist Shari Lyon presents an encaustic depiction of silhouetted trees under a hazy atmosphere. The trees stand proudly above a bronzed earth, with their intricate roots stretching beneath the surface. Melissa builds up the background with hot, melted wax and resin while incorporating oil paints, pastels, oil sticks, and drawings.
