Sidney Gross Art
Born in New York in 1921, Sidney Gross was educated at the highly esteemed Art Students League of New York and later taught there. He was also a professor at the University of Maryland and Columbia University. Gross's work was featured in 15 one-man exhibitions at the Frank Rehn Gallery in New York City and included in group shows at the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Albright Knox Gallery, among many other institutions. Gross was the recipient of the Tiffany Fellowship in 1949 and the winner of the Hallmark Art award in 1958.
