Quebecois sculptor Stephane Langlois finds inspiration in the architectural heritage of the world. Many of his abstract sculptures are shaped like the towers and church spires that dominate both city and country skylines.
Stephane Langlois completed a bachelor's degree in psychology, in 2002, and a D.E.C in sculpture at the Maison des métiers d'art in Quebec City, Canada. In 2007, he created his first work of public art for the library of the Collège-des-Jésuites in Québec City. Working with wood and metal, Stephane Langlois has exhibited in solo and collective exhibitions. His works are part of private and public collections including The Loto-Québec Collection, Musée de la civilisation in Québec City, Musée des maîtres et artisans du Québec. Originally, from Saint-Marc-des-Carrières, Stéphane Langlois now lives and works near Quebec City.to

Two organic shapes rise from the ground and reach for the sky in this finely crafted aluminum sculpture by Stephane Langlois. Niho Kozuru (髙鶴丹穂) is a Japanese-born mixed media artist based in Boston, MA. Kozuru casts and reconfigures molds of her own designs, classical and industrial turned architectural forms in unexpected materials. Using rubber, glass and clay she creates columns with undulating silhouettes.
The “Lantern Columns” are a group of 7 towers, ranging from 4 feet to 7 feet tall. They have been shown in various configurations in multiple US States as well as the Fukuoka City Museum in Kyushu, Japan. Kozuru made 60 components by blowing glass into molds of her own designs while at Artists in Residency at Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina.
