Designed at the beginning of his career, this mod 1960s dress is a stunning example of Lagerfeld’s prowess. Made from an ivory silk with red, black, and camel pinstripes, the dress is simultaneously youthful and sophisticated. A doll collar, which rolls effortlessly over the neckline, is accentuated by a slim black satin bow. The asymmetrical front opening is detailed with black satin edging and buttons, alluding to the inherently chic tendencies of many traditional Asian garments. Three-quarter length sleeves cap generously around the shoulder, revealing high quality and skilled tailoring.
