Wayne Healy Prints and Multiples

American, b. 1946

Wayne Healy grew up in East Los Angeles, where political events in the 1960s stimulated his commitment to execute socially and culturally relevant public art. In the third grade, he collaborated on a dinosaur mural with David Botello. In 1975, the two ran into each other after many years and Healy and Botello co-founded what became the mural team known as East Los Streetscapes. In 1992, Healy and artist Roberto Delgado were awarded a grant by the Joint Spanish/U.S. Committee for Educational and Cultural Cooperation to paint murals in Barcelona, Spain. They have created murals and public artworks throughout the United States, Europe and Mexico with traveling exhibitions including "Le Demon des Anges", "2001: Hispanic Artists' Odyssey," and "Chicano Codices," Mexican Museum, San Francisco, California. Healy’s work was also featured in Chicano Visions: American Painters on the Verge, a traditional art exhibition presenting the works of a wide range of the country's Chicano and Chicana artists.

Matt Griffin - Dune Variant - Contemporary Cinema Movie Film Posters
Located in Asheville, NC
Dune - Variant: Dune is a 1984 American epic science fiction film written and directed by David Lynch and based on the 1965 Frank Herbert novel of the same name. The film stars Kyle MacLachlan (in his film debut) as young nobleman Paul Atreides, and includes an ensemble of well-known American and European actors in supporting roles. It was filmed at the Churubusco Studios in Mexico City and included a soundtrack by the rock band Toto, as well as Brian Eno. Set in the distant future, the film chronicles the conflict between rival noble families as they battle for control of the extremely harsh desert planet Arrakis, also known as "Dune". The planet is the only source of the drug melange—also called "the spice"—which allows prescience and is vital to space travel, making it the most essential and valuable commodity in the universe. Paul Atreides is the scion and heir of a powerful noble family, whose inheritance of control over Arrakis brings them into conflict with its former overlords, House Harkonnen. Paul is also a candidate for the Kwisatz Haderach, a messianic figure in the Bene Gesserit religion. Besides MacLachlan, the film features a large ensemble cast of supporting actors, including Patrick Stewart, Brad Dourif, Dean Stockwell...

Parasite: “There’s a lot to unpack in Bong Joon Ho's PARASITE. It asks many questions and doesn’t give us comforting answers. For the poster, I wanted to capture that sense of discomfort and unease. A seemingly picture-perfect moment between the happily rich Parks completely oblivious to what’s unfolding around them, and the Kim family relegated to the shadows struggling with their own complex feelings toward such wealth and privilege. It’s a timely film, groundbreaking for a handful of reasons, and difficult to define. My hope is the poster art is just as mesmerizing and ambiguous as the film itself.” - Rory Kurtz...
