William Goodrich Beal is believed to have been born in 1855 in Waltham, Massachusetts and died in 1919. Beal, a painter and an etcher, was active in the Boston art scene during the 1880s and 90s. Beal exhibited at the Art Institute of Chicago and his prints are also in several collections.
