The bottle or jar sits on a small foot and has an oval shape with vertical flutes that are hand-cut in panel sections.
It has a heavy 41 gram sterling silver top or lid which has been made by silversmith William Leuchars of Piccadilly, London and fully hall marked London 1881 (F), the silversmith being registered between 1876 and 1889.
