This is an antique Mountain landscape oil painting with lake, XIXth century. 19th century. A beautiful, large and impressive antique landscape oil painting, this dates from around the 19th century. It depicts a lovely countryside scene of a water mill. It is very well executed, with lovely details and gorgeous, subtle colour tones. It is in excellent condition for its age, there is no damage to the painting and it is signed : J. Marow. It is possible that when his father received British nationality that they changed their family name – van Dommershuijsen – into the more English sounding surname Dommersen.
