Dutch Female artist, painter Yvonne Heemskerk is famous in Holland because of her strong and narrative portraits. ( On the phot posing for her painting)
Winner of the Dutch TV-show 'Portrait the Stars' with a painting of a Dutch actress, owner of her own school for students who wants to become a better painter.
For our last show, we opened on December 12th of December '21 se made a serie of strong women. Head of this series is this enormous strong work of perhaps one of the most leading women in History 'Cleopatra'. Of course she painted this partly historical and partly '21st Century style. On the other hand, her painting- style and technique is very classical.
Yvonne painted this conversation piece 'wet in wet' so, when you're standing in front of it, you will bee overwhelmed by the use of color and the brushstrokes she used to get life in this work.
When you dare to hang such a painting in your interior, you will have a Dutch piece of art where they will talk about. A piece of art because of the own way the painter interpreted the famous woman 'Cleopatra', a conversation piece because of the perspective and the use of color the artist did choose. She chose to see Cleopatra from the high of her feet, so they look enormous and the power of this woman you almost can feel. The use of color puts the figure in lights, and as you can see, makes it even look more strong again.
Between the pictures you find some pieces of the cover article that American " The guide Artists Magazine " wrote about this special Dutch artist. In this article about the inspiration, style, and career of the strong selfmade Dutch Female Artist Yvonne Heemskerk
