A fine and impressive antique George VI English sterling silver five piece tea and coffee service in the Art Deco style; an addition to our teaware collection at AC Silver. This fine antique George VI sterling silver five piece tea and coffee set consists of a coffee jug, teapot, cream jug / creamer, sugar bowl, and tray. The pieces of this tea and coffee service have a plain octagonal panelled form onto a swept panelled collet foot; the coffee jug, cream jug and sugar bowl all have a tapering form. The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished. The coffee jug and teapot are fitted with hallmarked hinged covers, surmounted with the original Art Deco style black fibre finials. The teapot and coffee jug retain the original Art Deco style shaped black fibre handles. The cream jug and sugar bowl are fitted with Art Deco style shaped sterling silver handles, matching the design of the teapot and coffee jug handles.
