About Illacions
The Il·lacions design gallery (2011) is the first of its kind dedicated exclusively to 21st century ''made in Barcelona'' design. Its aim is to create value and give visibility to its more than 50 participating creators by showing their furniture, objects, unique pieces, or limited series, in temporary exhibitions, international fairs and in its permanent collection. Näkki is a handcrafted, round wall mirror made from mold-blown glass and silver-plated using traditional techniques. This limited edition piece is the result of a collaboration between Swedish designer Sanna Völker, based in Barcelona, and master glassblower Ferran Collado, known for his expertise in both historical and experimental glassmaking.
Each mirror in the Näkki series is sculptural and unique, featuring a three-dimensional, ripple-like surface that evokes the subtle movement of water. Inspired by Scandinavian folklore and the architectural works of Aino Aalto, Näkki captures a poetic tension between mystery and reflection.
