DUVALD creates bespoke and serial pieces. The core is well crafted and functional design with strong and sustainable aesthetics. With attention to detail and materiality, the aim is to frame sensory and aesthetic experiences when dealing with the functionality of the given furniture piece. The desk explores tactility in a working environment. Modern work life is digital and rather one-dimensional and abstract in the sense of the small space this occupies. JO desk is about perceptions of materiality and construction and encourages engagement and the feeling of physical things.
