About Seidenberg Antiques
In 1940, a 28-year old David Seidenberg, whose father had been an antique dealer in Frankfurt, Germany arrived in New York. He opened a small shop at 99 Allen St. on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. The rent was $50 per month, an amount that left him with more than sufficient funds to stock his shop with fine 18th and 19th century antiques. Over time, the business flourished.
