About Very Breezy

Since I first started walking, I’ve been collecting—and for almost that long, I’ve been collecting vintage. After spending my career in so many facets of the fashion industry—from immersing myself in the editorial world at VOGUE magazine, to leading digital strategy for luxury accessory brands—I’ve always returned to my first love: vintage. My deep love of fashion, affinity for relics of the past, and devotion to sustainability are equally at the core of this collection. Very Breezy is an assemblage of pieces I have personally collected: fashion, jewelry, and accessories...Read More

Vintage Articulated Fish Pendant with Chain
Located in New York, NY
This vintage fish pendant is such a wonderful piece to collect, or gift. The idea of fish as good luck exists in many cultures but most likely has its origins in China, where the character for fish (yu 鱼) is pronounced the same as the Chinese character for surplus (yu 余), thus the connection between fish and prosperity. Also, Pisces friends, this little fish is especially perfect for you! The figural fish is beautifully articulated, so the body moves— almost like magic! I love that he has a red stone for his eye. The color of the metal is very iridescent, with tones of both gold and silver, so it works on a chain of any tone, and is easy to mix with other jewelry. Measures 34 mm total with bales; the actual fish is 27 mm long. Comes with Sterling Silver Chain! * The Vintage 14k Gold Jade...

Vintage Red Poinsettia Cluster Earrings
Located in New York, NY
I adore these red floral cluster earrings— they remind me of a festive poinsettia flower, but the motif and palette are truly seasonless. A variety of rich shades of red, some of them in marble stones, are offset by delicate pearl details. They fasten with a clip-on lever clasp and are extremely lightweight and comfortable; vintage clip-ons are so much more comfortable and secure to wear compared to their modern counterparts, largely due to the quality and thought that went into their hand-made construction. Measures about 27 mm diameter. The Vintage Yves Saint Laurent Fur-Trim Coat, Vintage Full-Length Tanuki Fur Coat...

An Givenchy Couture Fall 1982 velvet gown. Lately I've found myself poring over the Givenchy archives, specifically this early 1980s era.

I gravitate towards pieces with a sense of whimsy— this vintage shell bag is available in my collection of vintage accessories

Circa late 1940s from the legendary couturier Zelda Wynn Valdes, who was known for creating custom dresses for stars like Ella Fitzgerald. “Zelda Wynn” built her career at the height of Jim Crow segregation; She was likely the first black woman to own a boutique in Manhattan, creating custom gowns that celebrated the curves of stars like Josephine Baker, Mae West, & Marlene Dietrich.
