Six-Panel Stained Glass Windows by Mayer of Munich
By Mayer of Munich
Located in Los Angeles, CA
Six-panel stained glass windows portraying the life of St. Barnabas & the Resurrection,
Titled: Barnabas gives up his possessions, acts IV, 37, Barnabas exhorting the Christians, acts XI, they preached Jesus and the resurrection, Barnabas brings in Saul to the apostles, separate me and Barnabas and Saul for the work.
These scenes are based on the life of the apostles. The leaded glass windows are carried out in classic glass painting techniques, free-blown glass with Schwarzlot painting, Schwarzlot overlay and Inkarnat paints, dabbed and wiped.

The workshop’s style was especially influenced by the British glass painter W. F. Dixon, who had been hired by Mayer. Guidelines were the transparent-white architectures of the Late Gothic with figures whose gentle features echoed the work of the Nazarenes.
Maker: Mayer of Munich...
