An unusual antique English oak novelty railway interest cigar humidor, circa 1880 in date. The humidor is constructed in the form of a train's coal wagon. It features a simulated coal locking lift up top with a paneled body inscribed: Powell's Tillery's Steam Coal Co Ltd. Cardiff, No 1149, Empty to Abertillery GWR, And bearing the impressed Victorian registration number 230537 on all four wheels. The ld opens to reveal a fitted interior with two large cigar slots and a central tobacco mixer. This humidor has a very unique design and would make any cigar connoisseur happy. Complete with working lock and original key. Condition: In excellent condition, please see photos for confirmation of condition. Dimensions in cm: Height 18 x width 34 x depth 18 Dimensions in inches: Height 7.1 x width 13.4 x depth 7.1 Humidor is any kind of box or room with constant humidity that is used to store cigars, cigarettes, orpipe tobacco. For private use, small wooden or acrylic glass humidor boxes for a few dozen cigars are used, while cigar shops may have walk-in humidors.
