A fine and very rare original 1920s-1930s iconic Art Deco Machine Age combination of double cigarette smokers box and cased with a 360o movable black bakelite pen holder, from the modernist streamlined era of Industrial Design aesthetic. Carefully crafted by the Otis-Elgin Craft Company in solid chromed steel with black and burgundy lacquered enamels and black enameled zig-zag graphics at the eight corners, the chromium gleams and the hinged tops open to reveal cigarette compartments. The interior of the boxes are lined up with natural cedar wood. Very nice collectible item and a great addition to any Art Deco lover. Will look great in a desk and surely a conversation piece. Note: Made by Otis Manufacturing Company, working with Elgin American company, the subsidiary of Illinois Watch Case Company. So, really, this is an Otis (manufacturer) and Elgin Craft (trade name) box. Weight: 574.95 Grams, (1.27 Pounds). Measurements: 213.30 mm by 92.70 mm by 42 mm (8.4 x 3.65 x 1.65 Inches). Hallmarks: Stamped with the logo and the maker's mark.
