Beautiful piece made in Paris France at the end of the Napoleon III, during the third empire period, circa 1870. Carefully crafted in bronze and ormolu with rich 24 karats of gilding and decorated with enamel cloisonne, champleve in French with a degrade of multi colors, like blue, white, turquoise, green, pink and red ox.
The box exhibit an impressive craftsmanship with intricate details in the desirable etruscan revival style with geometrical patterns and decorations.The four sabbots of ormolu are designed as neo-gothic figures of griffins with open wings.
The top of the lid have an oval window with a thick beveled glass and the interiors have the original quilted blue silk pillows...
