Vintage wooden Tea Caddy Box Conch Shell Oriental Flower and Chicken Hand Painting Impressive Flame Brown Mahogany Double Tea Caddy of Outstanding Quality, Workmanship, and compact size. Circa 1970. The hinged lid is banded in satinwood, fabulously hand-painted and varnished with a large central circular conch shell. The front area has similar painted decorations; all places are decorated with satinwood stringing. Condition: Excellent condition with nice patination and no losses. A lock is present, and a later key is also current but does not activate the lock. We think the woven black fabric inside the cover has been added later; it is nicely done.
